The Venetians-- Landscapes

These paintings are part of the SAVANNAH series-- from 2006. This installation is important-- because it contains all of them!

Each panel measures 7" H x 48 "W.... and conveys snippets of Low Country landscape as "seen" through venetian blinds.

It was forntunate to keep them together as a collection -- as they are more powerful with their sublte transitions.

How wonderful it is to see them being appreciated and featured!

Sculpture

This folk-art sculpture is one that i made over 18 years ago. the base is wood... .and the spikes are sharp. the surface is hand painted and there's a lot of layering.

this went with a painting-- The One That Got Away.

HOLLYWOOD- baby!

this painting is in the living room -- a tall acrylic figure dating from 2000.

the painting is monumental.. towering over the sofa.

these few paintings are from a collection in Los Angeles CA-- where the collector has many of my paintings. The pieces are exhibited throughout the home -- and the color and intensity are amazing.

WORLD TRADE CENTER

this drawing -- from 1979.. is very very old.. in my portfolio. i found it in a flat file recently... and had forgotten that i did it. i was astonished to see.. that in the lower right corner.. there was a view of the WORLD TRADE CENTER -- along with the STATUE OF LIBERTY. i have no recollection of doing this... but i DO remember eating at the WTC and being fascinated with the building.

what a bittersweet image to have in my portfolio.

the two figures are self portraits.... when i had short hair.. and weighed 100 lbs.
